Plastic Free July - Upcycling everyday plastic items

Have you ever wondered how you can use single use plastics to create something useful instead of throwing them away? In the light of Plastic Free July month we wanted to highlight some ways you can upcycle everyday plastics into something so beautiful, people will not stop talking about it!

Before we start it’s important to understand what single use plastics are and why are they a threat for our planet. A single-use plastic is disposable plastic that's designed to be used once then tossed. This includes everything from plastic water drink bottles and produce bags to disposable plastic razors and plastic ribbon, really any plastic item you use then immediately discard. Something that is used just once can take more than 500 years to completely decompose. Most of the single used plastics cannot even be recycled. Saying no to single use plastics is the most sustainable option but sometimes we all falter and end up using them.

Putting our creative minds to use- We have curated 5 DIY ideas using everyday single use plastics. Go on and give it a try!
