Kashesh Bhatia Garg: Kashesh Global

The Wearable Art of Kashesh Global Because Some Things Are Meant To Stay
You know how some clothes just feel like they carry something more?
No, we are not talking about the fabric and fit alone, but the story and presence that feels familiar even if you have never worn it before.
A fabric that reminds you of home, one that feels like remembering a scent from childhood, or even the emotion you get when you hold a family heirloom.
Some clothes do that. Beyond dressing you, they know you. That's what Kashesh Bhatia Garg set out to create. And she's been doing it for over 15 years.
From Ahmedabad to the Global Atelier
Raised in Ahmedabad and now based in Dubai, Kashesh is the founder and creative director of Kashesh Global. This conscious luxury fashion house is built on meaningful craftsmanship, for a wardrobe that reduces replacements and is waiting to celebrate you. Through time honoured techniques, the brand now reaches more than 800 clients worldwide, from India and the UAE to the USA, UK, Australia and beyond.
Her journey into fashion began in 2009 with her first Indian luxury bridal label, and by 2016, Kasheesh.K had become a name that travelled across the globe. Brides from Europe to Southeast Asia, from Australia to the Gulf, chose her for the couture and legacy.
In 2019, she studied Luxury Brand Management from the London School of Arts. That same year, she was the woman entrepreneur selected for the prestigious Goldman Sachs Women Entrepreneurs Program at IIM Bangalore.
The Turning Point: Dubai
Her move in 2020 was the turning point. Craft journeys go beyond borders, and now it brought the best of two worlds together: India and UAE. Kashesh spent two years in research exploring conscious design, textile innovation, and the forgotten edges of craft revival. It opened the door to a complete evolution. In 2023, her label rebranded as Kashesh Global, creating pieces that honour legacy.

Fashion That Doesn’t Expire
Kashesh Global is a disruptor with limited edition capsule collections, made for global citizens who want to express with soul and feel life through all six senses. And self expression at the cost of the environment? Never. Not in their universe. They take the forgotten and turn it into something you will love wearing.
This is a luxury fashion house that lets conscious values come through every silhouette, working with plant-based and recycled fabrics, supporting environmental regeneration by planting a tree for every piece sold. In 2024, her work towards eco-friendly luxury earned her a place in Womenpreneur's Top 100 women in the UAE.
These garments aren't made to be expired. They are designed to be inherited, because they become heirlooms.

The Honour of Words of Wisdom
Their signature Words of Wisdom collection, now live on Refash, is wearable art handwoven from sustainable materials and spun slowly on heirloom looms. It is upcycling and material storytelling unlike nothing else. A second life, made sacred.
As a recognized legacy fashion house from the Middle East, in a rare and profound honour, Kashesh Global received permission from His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum to incorporate his words into only a few select pieces.
"As an Indian designer who moved to Dubai, my dream was to connect Indian craftsmanship with the cultural language of the Middle East. With Words of Wisdom, I work with upcycled fabrics, heritage techniques and the guiding words of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, inspired by his book Flashes of Wisdom. It is a privilege for Kashesh Global to be the first fashion house granted official permission to use this work. For me, it brings art, fashion and sustainability into one meaningful story," says Kashesh Bhatia Garg

2024: A Year of Defining Milestones
Bollywood actress Sameera Reddy wore the label for the Indian Women Dubai Awards. She wore the exquisite Bashirah coat, an outfit made from upcycled, sustainable fabrics. This was also the year when Kashesh Global was seen at the Cannes film festival, and the world saw what slow fashion looks like when it speaks from the heart.

The Wall of Gratitude
In an industry that often sidelines the maker, it is so important to keep artisans visible and respected in the design process, because the artisan's hand enables the creative vision and the craftsmanship.
Just the wall of gratitude with a wonderful team of creative minds speaks volumes about the artisan spotlight at Kashesh Global. The tailoring department, pattern and cutting master, hand artisans, hand embroiderers, weavers and more are the heroes of the luxury house.

15 Days, Not 15 Minutes
Each Kashesh piece takes 7 to 15 days to come to life, crafted through people-first processes within a conscious ecosystem that values artisanship over mass production.
And this is the kind of care that is invested in every piece, given that for Kashesh, fabrics are like a second skin.
She says we need to be taught the good touch of a fabric and the bad touch of a fabric. "Because your clothes have the energy, the vibration of you, about you in it. You don’t have to fit your clothes, the clothes have to fit you."
Craft as a Shared Language
What you see on the runway is only a small part of her world. The woman behind it all wears many hats. She is the founder, creative director, stylist, life coach and mentor. She moves between artisan clusters and countries with the same unstoppable energy, from the artisan's needle to the final frame.
India has a lineage of handcrafting and ancient wisdom in craftsmanship, from weaving techniques to dyeing and printing methods. The house is inspired by India's incredible craft knowledge, breaking the myths around the Made in India legacy, such as the idea that it is "too traditional" or "not western enough," when our centuries old ancestral craft has inspired global designers for decades. And that is why Kashesh continues to voice the call to wear our roots with pride.
With one side anchored in India's exceptional handwoven history and the other in the rich Bedouin heritage of the Arab world, this is Kashesh Global. The kind of handmade that holds identity and soul. It is made for you, for self-love, for confidence, and it moves with the same grace as a poem you keep returning to.
“Some clothes know you.” That line really stayed with me.
Beautifully written piece. Loved how it highlights artisanship, time and intention – a powerful reminder that real luxury comes from patience, process and respect for craft.✨
I loveee this and I have never really thought about the good and bad feel of a fabric before. And also choosing garments as heirloom purchases can help us change the view on fast buys. It is so nice to see Kashesh Global do that and bring our ancestral crafts to a global platform and at the same time to break the old stereotypes that they are not western enough. More power to Kashesh Bhatia!!!
What an inspiring story! Love how the brand focuses on indian craftsmanship!
