Levi’s Sued, Lululemon Probed, Bezos Fund, Here’s the Fashion News

Do you actually know what is going on in sustainable fashion right now? We’re bringing you what’s happening behind all those conscious collections and feel-good campaigns, and things are getting a lot more dramatic than brands would like you to think. Lawsuits, investigations, tech takeovers, billionaire funding, and some very questionable collaborations are all happening at once.

So here are the updates you probably did not see coming.

1. Clean Clothes Campaign is Suing Levi Strauss

Yes, that very old, very trusted jeans brand you probably never thought to question. The allegation is that consumers were misled by claims of ethical labour practices and those "responsibly made" labels that felt reassuring at the time. At the same time, workers in Turkiye producing Levi’s jeans were reportedly facing repression for joining a trade union.

2. Texas Attorney General is Probing Lululemon for PFAS

The sportswear giant is being investigated for toxins in its activewear, which the brand is denying. This is exactly what holding brands accountable looks like, because transparency is not optional. These are toxic chemicals, and the investigation is examining whether the brand misled consumers about product safety and sustainability.

3. Google Created a Virtual Try-On for Your Wardrobe

Google has now decided your wardrobe needs a digital twin. You can pull clothes from your Google Photos, mix and match outfits, build a whole moodboard, and basically become your own stylist without buying anything new.

4. Bezos Earth Fund

Ah yes, the Bezos Earth Fund has announced $34 million in grants for next-gen materials.
Is it absolutely fantastic, or maybe not? Because while funding innovation is great, we are also talking about the same ecosystem tied to massive overconsumption. Ahem, Amazon footprint. The focus on alternatives to silk, rayon, and cotton instead of polyester is interesting. So yes, progress, but also irony.

5. Stella McCartney x H&M "Green" Collab

And then we have Stella McCartney collaborating with H&M. Oh boy, the eyebrows are still raised and they are not coming down anytime soon.

The spring collection will be available soon, but people were not exactly thrilled. A sustainable fashion pioneer working with fast fashion 2.0? If this becomes normal, what is next. A Shein collab? Yeah, we really do not want to test that theory.

So yes, the fight for sustainable fashion right now in 2026 is part innovation, part accountability, and part absolute chaos. Keep an eye on this space for updates and news, because something is always unfolding.
